“The Awareness Campaign results are the best I’ve seen for a community engagement campaign”.

“Anyone can give you ideas, but Smith Associates really get it. They get the issues.

There is an integrity and understanding with what we are trying to achieve. It’s a match made in heaven.”

Paul Hogan
Chairman, Road Safety Task Force

“The ‘just like that’ campaign made a virtually instant impact, in the first three months jumping to non-prompted awareness levels with the key demographics in the high 90%’s.
It has now become one of the most widely recognised and embraced Government agency advertising campaigns.

Research continues to reveal how the Tasmanian public find the campaign highly relevant to their lives, sighting high incidence of the messages changing the way they drive.”

Tony Hocking
Managing Director, EMRS Research

“Just like that has the highest recognition level we have recorded for an advertising campaign amongst any target group.”

Andrew McGown
Brand and Communications Strategy, TasWater

TasWater worked with Smith Associates from 2016 to 2018 to raise awareness of a 24 month project to ensure all our customers received drinking that was safe and good to drink. At the time, this meant connecting an additional 24 towns to our network in a period of intense scrutiny and a highly political environment.

Smith Associates took our brief to raise awareness of the project and the good work we were doing while at the same time not shying away from any mistakes that may have been made in the past.

They developed the 24 Glasses concept  which struck the right balance between humble and determined but above all demonstrated that we cared deeply about our communities and our customers’ best interests.

We were very pleased with the quality of the concept work and the production values in the execution. We couldn’t have hoped for better in the circumstances with Rowan and his team delivering the cut-through and awareness we were hoping for.

“The Come See Change brand created by Rowan and his team is so astonishingly simple, and therefore brilliant! (Who’d have thought this had not been done before?)

The brand has reshaped the image and perception of Port Pirie - what was strategised and designed as a reputational change brand has now grown to be a tourism brand as well.

Come See Change has been embraced by the Port Pirie Regional Council, Business Port Pirie, Nyrstar, Regional Development Australia Yorke & Mid North and the general community.

This whole-of-city brand is also the envy of the Upper Spencer Gulf sister cities of Port Augusta and Whyalla.”
